Little Round Top (Flank)

The 20th Maine

Col. Joshua L. Chamberlain & The 20th of Maine will live in the hearts of all Americans forever. The flanking maneuver on that day was nothing other than genius. They did what they had to. Some died, some lived, and the battleline was saved. When you walk this area it is hard to figure out how they ran in this rocky wooded ground. The slope is slightly steep and your lucky if you can see 10-20 yards. I have no idea how they did it.

Maine's 20th
Maddie wants to do the flanking maneuver too !
