Maddie went to Chancellorsville, VA. She wanted to tour what is considered the most important Confederate Victory. I have read five books on this great battle so we felt it was a good idea to walk the field and see the sites. We were surprised at the construction around the battlefield. It seems that it will soon be gone. This battle was a product of the genius of Robert E. Lee & Stonewall Jackson. Their flanking maneuver is still studied today. |
